Electrical Designer / Drafter (Spokane WA)

MSI Engineers, a top-tier professional MEP engineering consulting firm with offices in Spokane, WA and Missoula, MT is looking for a Electrical Drafter to join our team—an integral position in the production of engineering drawings and development of 3D models. You will join our team of drafters, designers, and engineers in their efforts to design electrical power systems for a wide array of projects across the K–12, higher education, healthcare, municipal, government, commercial, and industrial sectors.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Use AutoCAD and Revit to prepare readable, accurate, and detailed drawings and 3D models.
  • Regularly update and incorporate changes to drawings and models based on written or verbal direction.
  • Produce consistently clean and well-organized drawings.
  • Depending on experience, work independently with latitude for decision-making.
  • Perform quality control and back-checking of documents to verify completeness and accuracy.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A.A. or A.S. technical degree, or equivalent experience.
  • Working knowledge of and experience with the latest versions of AutoCAD.
  • Knowledge of, or ability to quickly learn, Revit.
  • Experience in the overall drafting process and production of construction documents.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience with AutoCAD and Revit in a related field.
  • Familiarity with document control and management.

Pay Range:

  • $40–65k/yr, depending on experience and qualifications.

General Information:

  • This is a full-time, in-office position in our Spokane office and offers full benefits, including paid parking, health and dental insurance, retirement program, paid holidays,  vacation time, and sick time. Typical hours are Monday–Thursday, 7:30 AM–5:30 PM, Friday, 8:00 AM–12:00 PM.  The office occupies the 5th floor of the beautiful historic Legion Building in downtown Spokane.
