MECHANICAL ENGINEER
MSI Engineers, one of the top professional MEP engineering consulting firms in Eastern Washington, is looking for an experienced mechanical engineer to join our team. We’re seeking an individual with industry knowledge that can contribute to our team and grow their career. Our focus is on producing top quality work in a fun, laid back environment while we execute a wide array of projects throughout the K-12, higher education, healthcare, municipal, government, commercial and industrial sectors.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple simultaneous projects.
- Attend meetings in person or remote as required.
- Perform site visits to projects for as-building and construction observations.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and other engineering disciplines.
- Guide, mentor and delegate tasks to younger engineers and designers.
- Responsible for calculations, system sizing, equipment selections, drawings, specifications and cost estimates for HVAC and plumbing systems design.
- Other various duties include code reviews, submittal reviews, surveys of existing facilities and construction site review.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5+ yrs experience in HVAC/Plumbing design
- Professional License in Mechanical Engineering
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Working knowledge of mechanical and energy codes
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues and clients
Preferred Qualifications
- 10+ yrs experience in mechanical design / consulting
- Proficiency with AutoCAD MEP; Revit
Pay Range
- $80-130k/yr depending on experience and qualifications.
General Information
- This is a full-time in-office position and offers full benefits such as paid parking, health and dental insurance, retirement program, paid holidays, vacation and sick time. Typical hours are Monday – Thursday 7:30am – 5:30pm; Friday 8:00am – 12pm. The office occupies the 5th floor of the beautiful historic Legion Building in downtown Spokane.

ENTRY LEVEL MECHANICAL ENGINEER

Our focus is on producing top quality work in a fun, laid back environment while we execute a wide array of projects throughout the K-12, higher education, healthcare, municipal, government, commercial and industrial sectors.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work on multiple simultaneous projects with multiple teams of other engineers, drafters, and designers.
- With guidance from senior engineers, perform calculations, system sizing, equipment selections, drawings, specifications and cost estimates for HVAC and plumbing systems design.
- Redline drawings for drafting support.
- Perform site visits to projects for as-building and construction observations.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and other engineering disciplines.
- Attend meetings in person or remote as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned or required
Minimum Qualifications:
- Mechanical Engineering Bachelor of Science or Engineering Technology Degree
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Passed Fundamentals in Engineering (FE) Exam
- Proficiency with AutoCAD MEP; Revit
Pay Range
- $50-80k/yr depending on qualifications.
